Oles Honchar (1918-95) - writer and one of the greatest representatives of Ukrainian fiction of the second half of the XX century, public figure. A bronze memorial plaque to Oles Honchar is installed on the facade of the Cathedral of St. Michael's Golden-Domed Monastery. Was unveiled on May 17, 2011.
