The Japanese garden is located on Stepana Bandery Avenue, opposite Verbne Lake. It was founded in 2013 and implemented over several years at the initiative of Toyota City Plaza. The goal of the project is to enrich Kyiv with green spaces and create a unique corner of Japan in the form of a Japanese garden.
The garden is based on trees, shrubs and plants planted as part of the environmental campaign “Bought a car? Plant a tree!”, which is held annually on the initiative of a car importer. In particular, in 2015, during the eco-action, 1700 green plants were planted, in 2018 – 110 trees and 168 other plants.
On the green area, about 100x40 meters in size, grow: white and pink sakura, magnolia, forsythia, spirea, catalpa, sumach, etc. At the entrance to the garden there is a torii – a traditional Japanese symbolic gate with a roof and columns.
The park is open to all Kyiv residents, so that every resident of the capital can enjoy Japanese culture and beauty.
Address: Stepan Bandera Avenue, 24B.
