Monument to Lesya Ukrainka on Demiivka

Lesya Ukrainka (1871-1913) is Ukrainian poet, translator, and cultural figure. She wrote in a wide variety of genres: poetry, lyrics, epics, drama, prose, journalism. Famous works: "Forest Song", "Contra spem spero", "Possessed", "Cassandra", "Epilogue". In Kyiv, monuments to the writer have also been erected in the City Garden and near the Pecherska metro station.

The monument to Lesya Ukrainka in the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management is one of the monuments of the "Garden of Ukraine" on the territory of the university. The two-meter bronze monument was unveiled in 2003. The poetess is depicted with a small bird in her hand, symbolizing freedom and independence.
