The Kyiv fountain "Roshen" is part of a complex social project within the framework of the reconstruction and improvement of the confectionary factory of the same name on Demiivka, which began in 2014. Its official opening took place on August 29, 2020.
The light and music fountain is the central object of the new space in front of Roshen Plaza. It is made according to the technology of a "dry" fountain, that is, the tank is located under granite slabs, from under which water jets rise. There are 100 jets on an area of 1,000 square meters, they are arranged in two rows and throw streams of water up to a height of three meters. In addition to the main and usual mode of operation, the Roshen fountain also works in water smoke mode. The elongated rectangle of the fountain is divided into three parts, between which paths are laid to the factory building.
You can comfortably observe the work of the vodorai from the modern recreation area under the canopy. This is especially appropriate in the evening when the lights are turned on. The space itself is recessed and separated from the avenue by a glass barrier. Its concept was developed by the In Situ agency (France) and adapted by the architectural bureau AER (Ukraine).
