Nestor Chronicler (ca. 1056 - 1114) - a monk of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, hagiographer (author of the biographies of saints) of the end of the XI - beginning of the XII century. He is traditionally considered one of the authors of "The Tale of Bygone Years". A bronze plaque to saint Nestort is installed on the facade of Building No. 4 near the main Lavra's Gate. It was opened in 1982, in honor of the 1500th anniversary of the founding of Kyiv.
