Monument to Serhiy Lebedev in KPI

Serhiy Lebedev (1902 - 1974) is a professor and academician who gained worldwide fame thanks to the fact that he invented the first electronic computing machine in continental Europe (Small Electronic Computing Machine), and was also the founder of the Soviet computer industry. The monument to Serhiy Lebedev is installed on the territory of the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute", on the back side of the main building. It was unveiled on November 12, 2002, to the 100th anniversary of the scientist's birth.The monument is a bronze bust of the scientist mounted on a granite pedestal.
