Igor Sikorsky (1889-1972) - a world-famous aircraft designer, one of the founders of world aviation technology. He built the country's first two helicopters and his first planes in Kyiv.
A monument to Igor Sikorsky was erected in front of the entrance to the Department of Aviation History and Cosmonautics of the State Polytechnic Museum at NTUU "KPI". It was unveiled on May 14, 2008.
