Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker is the heavenly patron of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. A temple was built in the name of this saint, located in the area of the university library, building №4 and dormitories. The unveiling and consecration of the University Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in KPI took place on July 23, 2014. The church is dedicated to the heroes who gave their lives for Ukraine. The temple complex also includes the bell tower of St. Basil of Ostrog. The church is open to worship of all Christian denominations, as students, staff and residents of neighboring streets include believers from different churches.
