Mykola Bogolyubov (1909-92) - theoretical physicist and mathematician, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences, twice Hero of Socialist Labor. He was engaged in the study of issues of the theory of nonlinear oscillations, statistical physics. Created in Kyiv a scientific school of nonlinear mechanics.
A memorial plaque to Mykola Bogolyubov is installed on the facade of the main building of Taras Shevchenko National University, where the scientist worked in 1936-1950. The opening of the bronze memorial plaque took place on September 21, 2009 and was dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the scientist.
