Fedir Nirod (1907-96) in 1961-1989 was Chief Artist of the Kyiv State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater. T. Shevchenko (now the National Opera of Ukraine). A bronze memorial plaque to Fedir Nirod is installed on the facade of the apartment building next to the opera house, where the artist's creative workshop was located. A plaque was unveiled on March 31, 2017.
