Monument to victims of Babi Yar

Babyn Yar is a tract on the northwestern outskirts of Kyiv. During the German occupation of Kyiv in 1941-1943, mass executions of civilians took place in this area. 25 monuments have been erected in memory of the dead in this area. The central and largest of them is a monument to Soviet citizens and prisoners of war, the Soviet Army soldiers and officers, who was shot by the German fascists in Babi Yar or a monument to victims of Babi Yar. The monument is a multi-figure composition made of bronze. It was unveiled on July 2, 1976.
