On the 50th day after Easter, the Church celebrates the day of the Holy Trinity. The dogma of the Trinity is the basis and one of the most important concepts of Christianity. The word "Trinity" was introduced by St. Theophilus of Antioch in the 2nd century. God in three incarnations is depicted on icons in the form in which He revealed Himself to people. Immediately in the three Faces of God saw the Old Testament forefather Abraham. The appearance of the Trinity took place near the oak grove of Mamre (a valley near Hebron in the West Bank). This event is the basis of the icon of the Old Trinity.
