Pavel Shleifer (1814-1879) - Kyiv architect and portrait painter of German origin. Among his works: St. Catherine's Church on Lutheranskaya Street, the building of the Second Men's Gymnasium on Shevchenka Boulevard. He died in Kyiv on 1879 and was buried in the Lutheran part of the Baikove cemetery (now the old part). The headstone on the grave of Pavel Shleifer is made in the form of a granite stele with a portrait of the architect.
