Wanda Wasilewska (1905-64) - writer, public figure, member of the World Peace Council. Author of the trilogy "Song over the Waters", the story "In a Hard Struggle", essays, lyrics for the feature film "300 years ago ...", etc. Together with her husband, writer Alexander Korniychuk, she wrote the libretto for the opera "Bogdan Khmelnitsky". Actively engaged in journalistic activities. She lived in Kyiv since 1939 on the modern streets of Observatorna 6; Sichovykh Striltsiv, 46; Shovkovychna, 10.
Wanda Wasilewska died on July 29, 1964 and was buried at the Baikove Cemetery. A marble tombstone on her grave was installed in 1967.
