Memorial plaque to Hryhoriy Kosynka

Hryhoriy Kosinka (1899-1934) is a Ukrainian writer and translator, a representative of the era of the "Shooted Revival". Real talent was revealed in stories and short stories, which quickly spread and earned him the fame of a master of the artistic word. Author of collections of short stories "To the Golden Gods", "Behind the Gates", "Mother", "Cycling" and others. Repressed and shot by the Soviet authorities on charges of Ukrainian nationalism.

A bronze memorial plaque to Hryhoriy Kosynka was installed on the facade of the building where the writer lived and worked in 1924-33. This is a cathedral wing on the territory of the National Sanctuary "Sophia of Kyiv". A memorial plaque of 1971 was unveiled.
