Armenian chapel of St. Mesrop Mashtots in Kyiv

Mesrop Mashtots (361-440) was a linguist, creator of the Armenian alphabet, educator, missionary, translator of the Bible, founder of the national school and pedagogical thought, a saint of the Armenian Apostolic Church. He was buried in Vagarshapat, the ecclesiastical capital of Armenia.

The Armenian chapel of St. Mesrop Mashtots is located on the territory of the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management in Demiivka. It was built in honor of the 1700th anniversary of the adoption of Christianity by Armenia. The opening of the chapel took place on August 31, 2001. Then it was consecrated by the head of the Ukrainian diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Grigoris Buniatyan.
