Memorial plaque to Pavlo Alyoshin

Pavlo Alyoshin (1881-1961) is a famous Ukrainian architect and teacher, a valid member of the Academy of Architecture of the Ukrainian SSR, an honorary member of the Academy of Construction and Architecture of the Ukrainian SSR, a doctor of architecture, a native of Kyiv and its chief architect. The author of more than ten architectural masterpieces, mainly in the style of the Soviet classical school of architecture, modernism and constructivism. Among his famous works in Kyiv: Kovalevsky mansion, Teacher's House, restoration of Kyiv University named after T Shevchenko, restoration of the Mariinsky Palace.

A bronze memorial plaque to Pavel Alyoshin with a high-relief portrait is installed on the facade of the 1st doctor's house, where the architect lived in 1930–61. It was unveiled on January 21, 1982.
