Hryhoriy Horovenko (1914–1986) is a well-known Ukrainian thoracic surgeon and scientist, one of the founders of the School of Modern Phthisiosurgery of Ukraine, the author of more than 250 scientific papers. The bronze memorial plaque to Hryhoriy Horovenko was installed on the facade of the National Institute of Tuberculosis and Pulmonology, where the professor worked in 1946-86. The plaque was unveiled on October 14, 2014 and is timed to the 100th anniversary of the scientist's birth.
