Mikhail Bulgakov (1891-1940) - a famous writer and physician. He was born in Kyiv and studied at the Medical Faculty of St. Volodymyr's University (now named after Taras Shevchenko).
A bronze memorial plaque to Mikhail Bulgakov was installed on the facade of the building of the Rectorate of the National Medical University. It was unveiled on May 15, 2011 to mark the 120th anniversary of the writer and doctor.
