Monument to Nestor the Chronicler

Saint Nestor the Chronicler (1056 - 1114) - a monk of the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra, an ancient Russian chronicler, compiler of the biographies of saints. The author of the first edition of "Tales of Bygone Years" - one of the oldest literary monuments in the history of Ukraine.

Monument to Nestor the Chronicler. established in 1988 in a small square on the corner of Lavrska and Tsitadelna streets, opposite the Kyiv-Pecherska Lavra. Made of gray granite in the form of a figure of a saint with an open book in his hands. Installed on a low pedestal. The total height of the monument is 2.75 m.
