The Kyiv Palace of Children of Youth was inaugurated in 1965, although it was then called the Palace of Pioneers and Schoolchildren. Fountain «Stars and Constellations» was created at the entrance to the building. The bottom of the two huge pools was decorated with huge mosaic panels by monumental artists Ada Rybachuk and Volodymyr Melnychenko. Both the decorative pool and the interior of the Palace were decorated by artists using motifs of Ukrainian folk art. Even before the collapse of the USSR, the fountain stopped working, and the mosaic has been severely damaged over the years. The renovation of the renovated fountain took place on June 1, 2019.
