Alexander Minkovsky (1900-1979) - Soviet choral conductor, teacher, People's Artist of the USSR, artist leader and chief conductor of the State Bandura Band of the USSR, author of elaborations of folk songs, articles, compiler of the collection "Ukrainian classical choirs".A bronze memorial plaque to Oleksandr Mankovsky was installed on the facade of the house where the artist lived in 1959-79. It was unveiled in 1981.
