Jose Francisco de San Martin (1778-1850) - one of the leaders of the war for independence of the Spanish colonies in Latin America in 1810-1826, the national hero of Argentina, the liberator of Chile and Peru, head of the first Peruvian government. A monument to General Jose de San Martin has been erected in the Police Garden square near the center of Kyiv. The monument was unveiled on August 22, 2018. Established with the support of the Ambassador of the Argentine Republic to Ukraine. By the way, the monument is located in front of the embassy building. The monument is a bronze bust of the general on a granite pedestal.
