The Prophet Elijah Church is one of the most famous Orthodox churches in Kyiv. The first mention of it dates back to 945. The current temple complex was built in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The bell tower is located on the northwest side of the church. It was built at the beginning of the 18th century in the Ukrainian Baroque style by the outstanding Ukrainian architect Ivan Hryhorovych-Barsky.

In the second half of the 18th century, a one-story brick building of the Small Bursa was added to the bell tower. For a long time, the building served as a dormitory for students and trainees of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.

Address: 2 Pochaynynska Street.
