Church of Icon of Mother of God “of the Sign” on the territory of the 5th maternity hospital is located near Sevastopolska Square.
The Icon of the Mother of God "The Sign" or the Sign Icon is one of the oldest and most revered miraculous icons in Orthodoxy. It was revealed during the times of Kyivan Rus in Novgorod, in the second half of the 12th century.
The foundation stone of the future temple was laid in 2001. In 2003 the first service was held in the church. In 2004, the central part was painted. In 2007, the reconstruction of the temple began - the southern (right) and then the northern (left) were added to the small and relatively high temple. In 2012, the zinc baths were replaced with copper ones, and the facades of the temple were also lined.
Until 2022, the church was under the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, now it is part of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine.
