Postal Square is located on Podil - it is one of the oldest squares in Kyiv and one of the most popular tourist places in the Ukrainian capital. This square has always been important and historical, today it is a great place for a good and informative vacation. There are architectural monuments of the past left here, which create a special style of Kyiv. Archaeological research has revealed that trade settlements were in this place as early as in the IV century. In the times of Kyivan Rus, it probably housed one of the eight Kiev trading centers. Under its modern name, Pochtova Square has been known since the first half of the XVIII century. In the mid-1970s, in connection with the construction of the subway station, the square was radically redesigned and expanded. At that time almost all the structures were dismantled. In the mid-2010s, a new large-scale reconstruction of Poshtova Square took place, the ground pedestrian part of which was opened in 2017.
