Zolotovoritskyi Square Park is located around the reconstructed Golden Gate between the streets of Volodymyska, Yaroslaviv Val, Mykola Lysenko and Zolotovoritsky Proyizd, at the exit of the "Zoloti Vorota" metro station. Its total area is 0.57 ha.
The square was formed in the second half of the 19th century around the ruins of the Golden Gate. Between the ruins of the gate and Volodymyrska Street, a park fountain was installed in 1899 - one of the so-called "big" fountains of Termena.

In 1972, due to the unique landscape shape, variety of trees and shrubs, Zolotovoritsky Square was declared a natural monument of local importance. By the way, maples, birches, chestnuts, birch and white acacia grow here. In 1982, to the 1500th anniversary of Kyiv, a pavilion-museum built over the ruins of the gate was opened. In 1997, the layout of the square was reconstructed and a monument to Prince Yaroslav the Wise was installed next to the pavilion.
Today, Zolotovoritskyi Square is a landmark starting point for numerous tours of old Kyiv, and in terms of popularity it is not inferior to Khreshchatyk with Independence Square and Andriivskyi Descent. The square is full of people at any time of the year - they come to Yaroslaviv Val regardless of the weather.
