A memorial plaque to Mykhajlo Hrushevsky is installed on the facade of the main building of the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. It was unveiled in 1996.
Mykhajlo Hrushevsky (1863-1937) was a historian and public figure, the first president of Ukraine. In 1886-1890 he studied at Kyiv University, and in 1890-1894 he worked there as a professor's scholar.
