Borys Oliynyk (1935-2017) is an outstanding Ukrainian poet, statesman and public figure, academician of NASU, Hero of Ukraine.
A memorial plaque to Boris Oliynyk is installed on the facade of the former mansion of N. Uvarova, which now houses various public organizations, including the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. In 1987-2017, Boris Oliynyk worked in this building as the head of the foundation that now bears his name. A granite plaque with a bronze bas-relief portrait of the poet was unveiled on April 11, 2019, on the eve of the second anniversary of his death.
