Vaclav Havel (1936-2011) - Czech writer, the last president of Czechoslovakia and the first president of the Czech Republic. A world-renowned human rights activist and friend of independent Ukraine. A bronze memorial plaque to Vaclav Havel has been erected on the facade of the Solomyansky branch of the Civil Registry Office, the first building on the boulevard named after him. The memorial plaque was unveiled on December 16, 2016.
