Oleksandr Bogomolets (1881–1946) was an outstanding Ukrainian pathophysiologist. He organized and headed the Institute of Experimental Biology and Pathology and the Institute of Clinical Physiology in Kyiv. The bronze memorial plaque to Alexander Bogomolets was unveiled on June 1, 1981 - to the 100th anniversary of the academician's birth.
