The Monument to Belarusians who died for Ukraine is a memorial in Lukianivka dedicated to those who died during the Euromaidan events and the Russian-Ukrainian war. It was unveiled on March 28, 2016. The monument is made in the form of a cross in the colors of the historical national flag of Belarus (white, red and white) and contains an image of the Belarusian national emblem “Pogonya”.
The memorial sign features the names and photographs of three Belarusians: Mikhail Zhiznevsky, who died during the Revolution of Dignity from a sniper's bullet in January 2014; Oles Cherkashin and Vitaly Tselizhenko, who fought as part of the Belarus tactical group and died in Donbas in August 2015. The lyrics of O. Cherkashyn's song “Don't Give Up” are also quoted.
The funds for the monument were raised by friends and relatives of the victims, and the Kyiv Union of ATO Veterans helped to go through all the authorities to obtain permits for the installation on the wall of the Kyiv College of Technology and Design.
