
Wojciech Świętosławski (1881-1968) – was a Polish physical chemist, who is considered the "father of modern thermochemistry". He developed a static method of cryometric measurement and a new method of testing coal. Born in Zhytomyr region, graduate of Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, Minister of Education of Poland. A monument to Wojciech Świętosławski has been erected near the building of the Faculty of Chemistry of the Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. Its unveiled on August 30, 2013.
