Anna Yaroslavna is the youngest of three daughters of Prince Yaroslav the Wise of Kyiv. She was born in 1024, and in 1051 she married King Henry I of France, becoming Queen of France. Anne became the mother of the future King Philip I, so in the history of France she remained as the great-grandmother of almost 30 French kings.
A monument to Anna Yaroslavna was unveiled on November 10, 2016 in Kyiv, where the princess spent her childhood. A monument to Anna Yaroslavna has been erected in the square on Lvivska Square, a few steps from the French Embassy.
