Vladyslav Horodetsky (1863-1930) - architect, businessman and philanthropist, master of Ukrainian modernism, for which he was nicknamed "Kyiv Gaudi". Horodetsky's contribution to the architectural development of Kyiv is difficult to overestimate. He is the author of several famous monuments of the city. Among them, the House of Chimeras, St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Karaite kenasa. The monument to the architect Vladyslav Horodetsky is located in the Passage. It was unveiled on May 28, 2004.
