Olehivska 9 and 11. Wooden houses of the 19th century

Olehivska Street runs along the slope of Shchekavytsa Mountain above Nizhny Val, between Podil and Tatarka. It has been known under its current name since the 19th century, although it houses the remains of a 12th century church. A few brick and wooden houses remain from the old building. Of the latter, two ancient wooden buildings of the second half of the 19th century stand out - houses No. 9 and No. 11. Today, there are practically none of them left in Kyiv. House No. 9 has carved roof framing and windows, and House No. 11 also has shutters on the windows, as well as a brick chimney.
