The Fomin Botanical Garden in the capital, which is also called "old" or "university", is one of the oldest in Ukraine. At the same time, one of its modern parts is a fountain, which is surrounded by trees in a cozy area in the middle between the upper and lower entrances to the park. The fountain itself was created in Soviet times, and has not been overhauled since the 1970s. He did not work for some time in the early 2010s. In 2014, it was reopened after overhaul with the support of patrons. The bowl of the pool is made in the form of a rectangular pool, approximately 10x5 meters and a depth of 0.5 (before the reconstruction the depth was 1.5 meters). The fountain consists of three jets that rise by 5 and 2.5 meters. During the works, the area adjacent to the fountain was improved: the pavement was paved, modern benches and lighting were installed, trees and plants were planted.
