The crypt of Mykola Lelyavsky in Vydubychi

Mykola Lelyavsky (1853–1905) was an engineer, hydrotechnical scientist, chief of the Kyiv District of Communications. On his initiative, in 1903, a convention on shipping problems was held in Kyiv. He studied the channels of the Dnipro and Pripyat rivers, as well as the issue of channel hydraulic engineering. In the last years of his life, he lived in building No. 6 on Tarasivska Street.

Buried in a crypt at the necropolis of the St. Michael Vydubysky Monastery. Above the entrance is the inscription: "1905", and below: "N. S. Lelyavsky", on the side near the door is an annotation board from the Soviet period. In 2003, the crypt was restored by the monks of the monastery.
