House No. 43A on Olehivska Street stands out from a number of old houses and recently built cottages by its unusualness and is a local curiosity. The building itself has no historical or architectural value, as it was built relatively recently. The fence is of interest. The top of one of its pillars is crowned with a sculpture of an owl wrapped in a chain. The stylized house number carved on the stone is an image of a griffin holding a globe with the name of the street and the number of the house with its front paw. And there is also a mysterious mascaron.
The fence itself is made of typical yellow Kyiv bricks with the inclusion of ancient stamped bricks. In particular, you can read stamps with the names of the owners of brick factories at the time: «Снежко», «Луневъ», «Собцовъ» etc.
