The house at 10 Velyka Vasylkivska Street was built on a triangular plot of land that belonged to the merchant Heinrich Faler in the late nineteenth century. At the end of 1897, the owner received a building permit, which was subsequently carried out under the direction of the architect A. Krauss. Most of the building was used for housing. An outbuilding in the second courtyard was occupied by warehouses and a carpentry workshop. In the front house, a furniture store was located in three large halls on the second floor. The Faler family lived in a large six-room apartment on the second floor of the outbuilding.
In 1922, the estate was nationalized by the Bolsheviks, and later the houses became communal property. The first floor of the main house was used for shops and institutions. In 1998, the house was bought into private ownership. By 2006, it had undergone renovation and reconstruction work to adapt the premises to a banking institution.

Architecture and decoration
The manor consists of a main house (1897-1898) on the red line and an outbuilding in the second row of buildings. The main house is three-story with a basement, brick, plastered, and L-shaped in plan.
Both parts of the main façade are designed in the spirit of historicism with Renaissance elements. Despite a certain oversaturation of decorative details, the building's facades are characterized by harmonious proportions and the integrity of the architectural design.
